Treatment Time - 20 minutes Pain level - 4/10 There are four forms of Mesotherapy available in the clinic. Meso Roller, Derma Pen, Trans- Dermal (Needle free) and injections. The therapist chose the Derma Pen for my treatment which has 11 tiny needles in the disposable tip. The tips are changed for every new patient. The therapist began by ... |
... applying a hydrating serum all over my face. We chose this as my skin is feeling the effects of Dubai climate! There are many solutions/serums that can be used for skin rejuvenation, hydration and much more.
The therapist took the new tip and clicked it into place on the pen. She started on the fat of my cheeks using medium pressure. It felt like the tip was scratching me and being dragged in straight lines towards the center of my face. It wasn't painful at all, the therapist was very conscious of the pressure and asked if it felt okay when moving onto other areas. It was very relaxing and I actually started to feel quite sleepy during the treatment.
After my cheeks she moved on to my nose and chin. The depth of the needles can be changed so on the fattier areas a deeper level is used, then when going over boney areas a lighter level is used. I expected it to be more painful when the therapist moved onto my forehead but it just felt the same. No pain and just the similar scratching sensation.
At the end the therapist had to give me a little nudge to let me know it was over. My skin felt a little tender and looked quite red but that was to be expected. My skin is very touch sensitive so it was red for about an hour after the treatment. Following that it felt super soft, supple and very hydrated.
Would I recommend this treatment?
Yes, absolutely! If you don't have a problem with needles and a medium to high pain thresh hold, you will find this treatment tolerable and verging on relaxing! My skin felt amazing for about a week afterwards too. My make up lasted longer and looked smoother and generally, my skin looked lovely and plump.
